Alfie Gurtler

Alfie is our Part I here at Root And Erect, where he works across Architecture, Landscapes and Place-shaping, with a driven interest in Social Value. Alfie graduated from the Oxford School of Architecture in 2023 with First Class Honours, having received a shortlist for the RIBA Bronze Medal.

Both his dissertation and final design module projects separately addressed the demonized perceptions of UK housing estates based upon their inhabitants rather than their architecture, along with commanding solutions to address this.

Aside from architecture, you can find Alfie either in the gym where he does bodybuilding training; dog walking around East London with Lola or a quick flight away somewhere new.
