Newham Council organised a competition searching for a housing block design for a small site at the corner of Prince Regents Lane. Our design proposal is sympathetic to its surroundings in massing, height and materiality.

To tie into the context the main material is brick with sharp and crisp detailing. Recessed rendered sunspaces in the south and protruding rendered volumes in the north punctuate the brick skin and give depth and three dimensionality to the volume. This modulation makes each unit easily identifiable as home.
